The Sorry State of Modern “Journalism”
Some wonder why people don’t trust the media. Here is one example from Forbes:
“How Effective Is Pfizer Against Delta? Here’s What We Know”
What the author says: “…data from Israel suggests just 41% effectiveness.”
What the author did: Averaged a declining rate, to make the shot look better.
The graph shows the truth:
And then, there’s this:
“…efficacy was 79% for those who received their second dose in April, 69% for March, 44% for February, and 16% for people who were fully-vaccinated back in January.
The average for those four vaccination months gives Pfizer’s vaccine an overall figure of 41% effective.”
Now, it’s been awhile since I was in grade-school, but it seems the average comes to 52%, not 41%:
79 + 69 + 44 + 16 = 208
208 / 4 = 52

It is beyond disappointing that NONE of the editors at FORBES caught these errors…
The data comes from a report from Israel’s Health Ministry which shows just how quickly the Pfizer vaccine is waning, and why the nation’s rate of “breakthrough” COVID is so rampant.
