Lisa Shaw Died From COVID Vaccine, Coroner Says
It has been confirmed by the Newcastle coroner that BBC radio presenter Lisa Shaw, aged 44, died from complications of the COVID-19 vaccine, which she received 3 weeks before her death.
Newcastle coroner Karen Dilks said:
“Lisa died due to complications of an AstraZeneca Covid vaccination.”
Previously fit and healthy, the mother of one received the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID vaccine on April 29th.
Started as a headache
Within days, the radio host developed headaches.
A physician, Dr John Holmes, who treated her said she complained of having a “severe headache shooting and stabbing” across her forehead and behind her eyes.
On May 13, Shaw was taken by ambulance to University Hospital of North Durham. There, tests were performed and blood clots were found in her brain, and she was moved to the neurology specialist.
On the evening of May 16, the headaches grew worse, and Shaw had difficulty speaking.
Scans showed she had suffered a haemorrhage in the brain, and she deteriorated. Part of her skull was removed to try and relieve the pressure inside her head.
Sadly, her condition worsened, despite more surgery and treatments, and she died on May 21.
The coroner said it was “clearly established” that her death was due to “vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia”, a condition which leads to swelling and bleeding of the brain.
How Rare Are These Blood Clots After COVID Vaccines?
A new study which just came out of the British Medical Journal found an elevated risk for brain blood clots after all vaccines studied, but an even higher risk for people with post-vaccination “breakthrough” infections with SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Everyone included in the study was vaccinated.
Looking specifically at thrombocytopenia, venous thromboembolism, arterial thrombosis, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca revealed an elevated risk in the post-vaccination period compared to pre-vaccination period, using the self-case control method.
The authors pointed out that all risks for blood clots associated with the COVID vaccines were much lower compared to SARS-CoV-2 infection, however, they failed to acknowledge that these are in fact post-vaccine infections, which could reflect a much higher rate of thrombosis than in a vaccine-naive population.
Time will tell when these authors address this serious issue.
What is the rate of these events in an unvaccinated population who then test positive for SARS-CoV-2?
We can’t answer this question by only looking at hospitalized patients; it must include all infections, both asymptomatic and mild infections.
Based on the data presented by the study above, the vaccines induce an unacceptably high risk for blood clots in the brain, especially when we stratify by age.
A 20 or 30 year old’s risk for blood clots is vastly different from an 80-year-old risk for blood clots, for example.
The risk of vaccine-induced thrombotic events pales in comparison to the risk observed in the vaccinated “breakthrough” infections–a concerning observation.
The rate ratio observed in the BMJ study suggest a vaccinated person who then tests positive for SARS-CoV-2 has a 0.55% chance of developing one of these adverse events: thrombocytopenia, venous thromboembolism, or arterial thrombosis.
Strokes and Blood Clots After COVID Vaccines
Stephanie Dubois, 39, developed a brain hemorrhage after getting the AstraZeneca vaccine on May 6th. Her first side effects were also headaches. Her condition worsened and she eventually died on May 22.
Everest Romney, 17, got the Pfizer vaccine so that he could continue to compete in high school basketball. That night he experienced neck swelling and pain in his neck. Then extreme migraines. He was rushed to the ER, where blood clots were found in his brain. Thankfully he survived, but he may face challenges in his future that affect his ability to play competitive sports.
Anne VanGeest, 35, and mother of 4, died 11 days after the Johnson & Johnson vaccine Janssen from cerebral blood clots. After the vaccine, VanGeest had constant headaches.
Sara Stickles, 28, mother of 1, felt the onset of a sudden headache 5 days after getting the Pfizer vaccine. It appeared to be an aneurysm, but turned out to be a massive stroke in her brain. She died February 18th.
