Problem

Every single day, 11 Americans die from asthma. Annually, asthma takes the lives of 4,000 people, and contributes to the deaths of another 7,000 more. EVERY YEAR.

Asthma Is Increasing

In the USA from 1980 to 2010 asthma prevalence in the general population increased from 3.1% to 8.4%, with increases among 5- to14-year-old children from 4.4% in 1980 to 8.2% in 1995, 9.1% in 2004, and 10.7% in 2010.

According to the CDC, 1 in 12 people have asthma, and the numbers are increasing every year.

Cost

Asthma cost the US about $56 billion in medical costs, lost school and work days, and early deaths in 2007. That’s just one year.

Do we care about Public Health— OR WHAT?

• No longer can people argue the merits of vaccination, without addressing the risks, the true costs, and the lives that are lost from vaccination.
• No longer can people believe the first page of Google about vaccines.
• No longer can we accept that life-threatening conditions like asthma which are increasing every year—in children–and accept that there is no explanation.
• No longer can we serve the interests of the Pharmaceutical industry ahead of our own children.

What am I talking about?
