Anaphylactic Reactions To COVID-19 Vaccines More Common Than Previously Thought
One of the vaccine myths that won’t seem to go away is the absolutely unscientific, and ridiculous sentence: “Vaccine reactions are one in a million.”
Or sometimes it’s: anaphylactic reactions are one in a million.
Well, BOTH SENTENCES ARE NOT TRUE.
A recent study found that the rate of anaphylactic reaction in COVID-vaccinated patients to be at 2.47 per 10,000 vaccinations:
A not so recent study (2010) found that only 1 percent of vaccine reactions are ever reported. And looking at VAERS right now, there are many types of allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, and delayed allergic reactions, so things are downplayed, before things are acknowledged.
It can happen to anyone, at anytime. People with no history of allergic reactions, and people with history of allergic reactions. It’s literally a roll of the die.
This is a personal story of someone who recently experienced an anaphylactic reaction to the Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine.
Shared from John Choi on April 15:
“I just just wanted to make everyone aware and hopefully got some help and get my wife back to her normal life again.
On 04/05 my wife got the J&J vaccine. They left her leave after waiting 15min and when she got home she notice swelling around her tongue hands and feet. She called the vaccine center and they told her to take some benadryl and if it doesn’t go down to go to ER. The next day we went to the ER since swelling hasn’t gone down, it was getting harder for her to breath and the swelling still hasn’t gone down. They gave her some medication and then let her go home.
Following day she went for a follow up with her primary still swollen could barely talk, barely breath. She started having chest pain which let to the nurse giving her a epipen and had a ambulance take her to the ER again. She was monitored and had blood test done. Gave her some more epinephrine and told her she can go home.
Day after in the evening she started to swell up really bad again. So I rushed her back to the ER. She could barely open her eyes, tongue swollen barely breathing, she said she was nauseous and her chest hurt. And again same thing when we got there, they gave her more epinephrine started going to down again but the effects kept getting shorter and shorter…
Fast forward a few days after multiple visits to the doctors and blood works and ER. And Tons of medication that don’t work.. They finally emitted her to the hospital to monitor her.
Most of you know we have 5 kids, they don’t know what’s going on they’re confused and lost. I don’t even know how to explain this to my kids.
Problem is doctors have no clue what’s going on and it suck’s. My wife almost died cause her airway started swelling up. It’s not like J&J is taking responsibility to help her or with our medical expenses. Nor does the CDC. She’s just 1 in a million case. Worth the risk to big pharma. I guess I’m asking please put my wife and family in your prayers hopefully she get get better and is able to return back to normal. And I thought getting the vaccine was doing that….”
April 25th update:
“We thought it was just the tongue swelling but it was her whole face that starts to swell up. So they have been continuously giving her breathing treatments and epinephrine.
The specialist discussed about fresh frozen plasma transfusion but they said there in a 1 in a million chance she can get blood clots from it. In her current condition they do not want to take the chance. We are still waiting on this meds that is suppose to arrive tomorrow. Praying for the good news.
She’s had multiple IV and ton of blood work done. Caused her arm to bruise. She did tell me about an incident where a nurse try to blame her for blood work not being sent to NIH. Was yelling in front of her of her saying it was her fault. Thankfully the head nurse put her in check.
Thanks to her friend we were able to get her some better food than the hospital food that she was eating.
We are truly thankful to everyone’s support, even towards my kids which can be a challenging time for them but we are doing our best.”
