No, it’s not the same thing. DDT is Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, and it’s been banned since 1972 in the US. But it is one of the “forever” chemicals. DEET is N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide and is common in bug repellants. I personally wouldn’t use it, and I would try something with essential oils such as lemon, eucalyptus, tea tree etc.
